Changing it UP!
Change is good – in fact change is what’s necessary to grow bigger and stronger, get smarter and happier.
I carry this in my daily agenda:
- A mistake is literally doing something that you think is for the best but later turns out to be not such a good idea for you.
- A bad decision is doing nothing to correct that mistake and then letting the consequences of it define you for ages afterward.
April is certainly the month of change for me. I came to realise that staying with the Handel Group for life coaching training was just not a good fit for me. I talked with my coaching buddies about it, I hashed it over with my coach. We all agreed that I was trying to make my big square peg fit into that little round hole; bad idea! Instead of beating myself up anymore, I started to look for options. Mind you: I am NOT giving up on the dream. I am instead searching for a program that fits me better.
Last weekend I spent my final two days immersed in a Handel methodology course called an Unraveling. It affirmed to me clearly that I want to continue the work. I requested to be mentored by one of the women with whom I was training. Her vibe dances well with mine and I think my 60 minutes spent with her each month will keep me on a good path.
This week I start in with the Coaching Alliance Group, a program that trains only (Handel is a company that is involved in coaching and coaching training for their own reps, as it were). Already I know deep in my heart that this is a GOOD fit.
And so it goes. I get to stand for change and possibilities AND for growth and corrective measures. How cool is that?
