---------------------

"I have been an educator for over 34 years and have worked along side many outstanding representatives at the four schools at which I have either taught or administrated. I will tell you that there has never been one better than Marcia. As a school principal, I understand the importance of having a top-notch and high-quality yearbook; it contains all of the memories of the year for our students and our community. Marcia is the person who makes sure all of this happens. She is a very knowledgeable individual who has years of experience with Taylor. She works very well with our yearbook adviser and all of the students on staff. She is very accommodating and attempts to work with the school itself to make the printing and delivery of the books successful. We are very please with Taylor Publishing Company in all aspects and, because of Marcia, we at Merritt Island High look forward to many more years of an enjoyable relationship."

Today's Tip
Hard to believe that we need to be thinking about building 2010 publication staffs ... but here it is: registration time looms again. As you do your recruiting, keep a copy of this wonderfully inclusive contract that students must sign at Jeffersonville High School in Jeffersonville, Indiana provided to us by Kelly Short, Topic Adviser, and compiled by present and past scholastic journalism teachers at that school.

the Pro Football Hall of Fame and a Canon digital camera kit.

Yearbook Video Contest
Taylor Publishing is conducting a Yearbook Video Contest on Schooltube.com.
The contest will end on October 5, 2009 at midnight. This contest is open to any public or private school in the United States with the exception of Maine. Schools simply go to schooltube.com and register. Once they register, the school may upload yearbook video commercials and then drive their student body to the site to vote on the commercial.
Think of schooltube.com as a safe YouTube. SchoolTube is recognized and endorsed by the NPTA, NASSP, JEA, NCTE, and many other educational organizations. Simply go to the web site and click on the CONTEST Tab. You will see our contest right off. At the bottom of that page are all the endorsements from education communities.
The winners will be announced at the Washington DC JEA/NSPA convention in November. This contest is open to all schools, so we want you to push YOUR schools to participate so they may win the grand prize.
Prizes:
· ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: A yearbook distribution party or $1,500 in cash for the winner's school. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $1,500.
· ONE (1) FIRST PRIZE: A point and shoot camera or $750 cash for the winner's school. ARV: $750.
· ONE (1) SECOND PRIZE: Two (2) Kodak Flip cameras for the winner's school. ARV: $200.
The ARV of electronic prizes is subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace based on, among other things, any gap in time between the date the ARV is estimated for purposes of these Official Rules and the date the prize is awarded or redeemed.
